How it all began…
Oi! Paula here!
As a middle class Brazilian, I never thought I would one day be able to see the world. For years my family and I took camping vacations to the very same beach (which I loved) and we barely traveled around Brazil.
It was on my teenage years when I started feeling as if something was pushing me to go after new horizons.
I had been playing volleyball for almost 10 years and was pretty good at it. So, at age 19, I was able to get a full athletics scholarship to play and study at Lake Land College in Mattoon, Illinois.
Years later, I moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, where I graduated from Hawaii Pacific University and lived for 3 years. I then got my first job in Chicago where I lived for 2 years and married my Peruvian man and college sweetheart.
In 2008, he had an amazing job offer in Houston, Texas, and we’ve been calling home since.
What a transformation 21 years living abroad can bring to a person. The Paula student and volleyball player who left Brazil alone, turned into a professional in international business, a polyglot, a wife, a volleyball coach, a professional in the oil and gas field, a world traveler, a mother, and finally a Travel Designer.
When I look back I can not believe how far I have come. There were many challenges and many falls, but there were also a lot of accomplishments and victories.
I am so grateful and proud of every single moment lived and every person that crossed my path along this long journey. Because it is no doubt that all these experiences made me who I am today.
A traveler, passionate about the world, languages, art, history, and the connection with other cultures and their people. A loving mother who wants the same experiences for her daughter, and a woman who chooses not to be a dreamer, but an achiever!
If there is one thing you should know about me is that, on everything I put my mind into, I leave no room for failure and no matter the obstacle, I go for it with all my faith and positivity.
And it is with this same passion that I will bring your dream trips to life. So, let’s get started?
